Tracie Kenyon, MCUN President/CEO

Tracie Kenyon | President/CEO

Tracie G. Kenyon, CAE, CUDE, is the Queen, sorry, President/CEO of the Montana Credit Union Network and provides leadership for Montana’s credit unions in: advocacy and government relations, compliance, outreach and development, education and training, communications and public relations, vendor relationships and fee-based services (there is never a dull moment!).

A left-coast girl, Tracie has spent her entire career working in the credit union movement in Washington State, Oregon, Utah, and Montana. When not advocating for the preservation of cooperative credit, Tracie enjoys spending time with her family…she is married to a credit union CEO (not at typo, they keep it “all in the family”) and has a teen-aged daughter, which really means that her most important jobs are chauffeur, guidance counselor, and fashion consultant (not necessarily in that order, it depends on the day, err, minute).

Kara Connors, MCUN Office Manager Kara Connors | Director of Administrative Services
Kara Connors manages the accounting and HR at the Network and generally serves as the organization's “air traffic controller.”

Kara’s most important job is raising her three very active kiddos, and she loves every minute of it. Kara enjoys training for triathlons, waterskiing, kayaking, cross country skiing, and -- most importantly -- spending quality time with her family and friends.

Nolan Glueckert | MCUCD Community Development Manager

Nolan Glueckert is a Montana native with a great haircut. He will manage the Matched Education Savings Accounts (MESA) and Individual Development Accounts (IDA) in his role as Community Development Manager. Peppered with his duties with the MESA and IDA programs he will also assist in training for MCUCD.

Nolan calls Bozeman home. The summer and winter in Montana has lots to offer, and he takes full advantage of Montana's seasons.

Renee Lyman, LSG Marketing Specialist Renee Lyman | Education Services Manager
Renee Lyman provides support of the Network’s education and training department and League Services Group. She helps promote education events, distance learning, and business partnerships and sponsorships.

When she’s not reviewing contracts, planning the Annual Convention Expo, or on a conference call, Renee enjoys spending time with her family. That means everything from cheering at her kids’ sporting events, going camping and fishing in the summer, to taking adventurous trips to Disneyland in the winter.

Carin McClain, MCUCD VITA Program Coordinator Carin McClain | Political Advocacy Director
Hailing from the credit union capital of the world (Madison, WI), Carin McClain, CUDE, is thrilled to be working for Montana’s credit unions. In her role as political advocacy director, she acts as a lobbyist and liaison to state and federal policy making authorities and coordinates grassroots efforts to inform and influence policy makers around issues relevant to credit unions.

Besides her passion for credit unions, Carin loves sending mail with beautiful stamps, traveling, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Donya Parrish, VP-Dues Related Services Donya Parrish | VP–Risk Management

Donya Parrish has been at MCUN since 2002. She spent several of those years training and supporting credit union staff and boards on compliance issues. She oversees the compliance area, as well as assist credit unions with training and implementation of their compliance programs. Her goal is to ensure the dues support of MCUN is beneficial and affordable to credit unions and that they are always portrayed and recognized in the most positive light possible.

In her spare time, Donya helps her husband with his small business, spends time enjoying Helena, and loves to read. She believes that success is making the best choices we can… and accepting them.

Mara Rayner | Director of Human Resource Benefits

Mara K. Rayner manages the day-to-day operations of the Montana Credit Union League Group Benefit Trust and will be working to provide additional HR services for the credit unions in the future.
In her free time, Mara loves spending her time with family and friends doing anything outdoors -- watching her boys play soccer and football, camping, golfing (not a great player, but if she gets one good shot in a round, it is just like Christmas!!) hiking, kayaking, sledding, and so on. She is originally from the great state of Minnesota, so when she's on vacation, she typically travels back to Minnesota to enjoy time “Up North” relaxing at the cabin!

Beth Satre | Membership Data Manager
Beth Satre functions as the communications hub at the Montana Credit Union Network. She oversees the print and online publications and coordinates the website. If you want to subscribe to one of our publications, would like access to MCUN's website, or have a question about grammar (or Adobe software), give her a call.

In her free time, Beth hangs out with her family and friends, volunteers for various non-profits, and works on her photography and design skills. She loves the outdoors, often has her nose in a book, and is always ready to engage in a good conversation about credit unions or, well, just about anything.

Karen Smith, MCUCD Executive Director Karen Smith | VP–Advocacy
As the VP of Advocacy, Karen Smith focuses her time to support the advocacy work of Montana’s credit unions in political, philosophical, and philanthropic areas. Karen has been with Montana’s Credit Unions since 2003, is a designated Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) as well as a certified credit union financial counselor and financial coach.
Karen loves life on her family ranch with her husband and two kids. For Karen, the best days are those spent camping in the mountains or relaxing on the river with family and friends.

Ranel Smith, MCUN Education Services Director Ranel Smith | VP–Relationship Management
Ranel Smith, CMP, CUDE, supports Montana’s credit unions with education-related assistance, putting on up to 10 conferences and educational events throughout Montana every year. In addition, she assists the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas and the Minnesota Credit Union League with their education event planning. In her role, she is charged with coming up with unique, fun conference themes, making sure meeting rooms are warm enough, and getting the correct title on everyone's name badge -- no matter how long that takes. In 2013 Ranel became only the fifth Montana meeting planner to achieve the Certified Meeting Professional designation through the Convention and Industry Council. This makes her now authorized to order enough bacon for a breakfast buffet and her CEO.

Ranel lives in Great Falls, MT with her husband and three children. She enjoys biking and running (sometimes from the neighbor’s dog) and attending her children’s activities in her spare time.
