Montana's Champion

Five-year-old Zeesy Bruk -- Montana's 2016 CMNH Champion -- is living with a the rare genetic metabolic disorder GLUT-1 Deficiency. Before she was diagnosed, Zeesy suffered from frequent seizures and developmental setbacks. Thanks to genetic testing and counseling at Shodair Children’s Hospital, Zeesy is now thriving. She follows a strict diet and visits doctors regularly, but she has a care-free attitude and doesn’t let the diagnosis get in the way. Find out more about Zeesy and GLUT-1 Deficiency on Shodair's website.

Credit Unions for Kids

Since Montana credit unions launched their first coordinated campaign to raise funds for Shodair Children's Hospital in 2013, Montana’s credit unions have raised well over $70,000 for our state's sole Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

We hope to continue that momentum in 2016. To that end, the Montana Credit Unions for Kids Committee are urging credit unions to get involved in a number of events that promise to be a lot of fun.

Ideas for local fundraisers

Participation is voluntary, and individual credit unions can choose to hold their own activities instead of (or in addition to) these. In fact, credit unions came up with loads of great ideas to raise money and awareness for Shodair in ways that fit their communities and members. Remember to apply for a Miracle Match from CO-OP Financial Services for all of your local events — it's a good way to increase the amount of money that Shodair receives from Montana's credit unions.
